Bells Walbrook

Having installed the 1700KVA Life Safety Generator into the Walbrook building on Cannon Street in 2009, Bells have recently secured the supply and installation of 2 further 1700KVA F.G.Wilson for the new tenant occupying the Walbrook building.

As well as supply of the generators Bells are responsible for the design and co-ordination of the system within the finished occupied building, this includes breaking the generators into 4 sections and maneuvering from the loading bay into the basement generator room via the car lift before re-building within the space.

Alteration to existing and new acoustic/ventilation system are to be installed to cool the 3 off 1700KVA generators within the basement whilst maintaining a noise level of 65 dB(A) @ 1Mtr with all 3 set running.

New 600mm I/D stainless steel flues for each generator are to be installed from the basement to terminate at roof level , and the existing fuel system is to be modified and increased to provide 24 hours capacity for all 3 generators running at full load.

The existing Allen Bradley PLC system installed under the shell and core contract is to be modified and added to including new programming and additional outstations for the inclusion of the 2 additional generators and tenants risers load shedding, as well as mains synchronization and control of the CHP unit operation during mains failure condition.

The generator delivery and rebuild was carried out December 2013 and the installation works carried on through to March 2014.
